This time of year, the phone starts ringing from guys who want to have a tract of land to call there own to hunt on.  Usually peaks just after deer season, when hunters are fed up with trying to enjoy hunting on public lands where over crowding and lack of game is the norm.

Personally, I never hunt on public land.  As a wildlife biologist and consulting forester, I have clients who will let me hunt when they are not on the property.  Since I have usually done some of my majic on the habitat, I rarely go out and not see the game I am after or have some sort of interaction.  My deer food plots and and wildlife habitat improvements.
