A good plan starts with a good map.

Good Habitat Gets Results.
Management Plans and Wildlife Habitat Design
Every great achievement starts with a plan. Starting with a quality map and an inventory of what you have now, I will develop a ten-year plan to properly manage your property for timber and wildlife. The plan will be written with your goals in mind, with special attention to how much time and money you are willing and able to spend. Combining timber sales with government programs can often get a tremendous amount of work done on your property for a small out-of-pocket cost. Timber Plans include a timber quantity estimate, stand analysis and recommendations for management. Habitat Plans include mapping out food plots, security cover, trails and hunter management. Deer population estimates, recruitment rates, sex ratios and age structure can also be included in your plan.

Harvesting Timber like this requires professional advice.
Timber Sale Administration
Never sell your timber without seeking the advice of a forestry consultant. Loggers and sawmill foresters have one goal – take lots of quality logs. This goal may not align with yours. A consulting forester works for you and knows how to harvest timber in such a way as to protect your investment and the environment, abide by environmental laws to keep you out of trouble and be sure you get a good price for your timber products.

Food Plot Planning, Installation, Planting and Maintenance
Whether you have existing food plots and fields or whether you need to start from scratch in your mountain land, I can install, plant and maintain your food plots. These take time, work and TLC to get the results you are looking for. If you are short on time or would rather enjoy your weekends on your property instead of working, I can take care of it for you. Or, if all you need is some advice, a consultation may be right for you. Put my experience to work for you – I have made all the mistakes over they years – and make your food plots the best they can be.

Fern growth must be controlled to regenerate timber..

These include foreign invasives, ferns, beech sprouts or other unwanted plants. This work is usually incorporated in your management plan. Timber regeneration almost always requires some herbicide work to get good results

Forestry Mowing and Chainsaw Cutting for TSI and Bedding Cover
We have a Fecon mower mounted on a low-ground-pressure tracked ASV 100 skid steer. This machine will pulverize brush and small trees and leave a field ready to grow pasture, food plots or to build on. We can clear right of way or reclaim pasture that has been taken over by invasive brush and trees. The low ground pressure gives us the ability to work in sensitive wetlands or even residential yards without making ruts. Some uses for this machine is to make trails through thickets for seismic operations, ATV and walking trails and shooting lanes. We also use it on our TSI projects to get rid of beech brush and striped maple and invasives like honeysuckle, Russian Olive and multiflora rose.
Wetland Delineation Services
As a certified wetland delineator, I can help you with locating wetlands and hydric soils for site development, pipeline routing or other project planning.
Using the latest Army Corps of Engineers Northeast hydric soils definitions and scientific techniques, I will help you stay compliant with wetland avoidance regulations.
