Timber Cruising

Whether one needs a timber volume estimate for purchasing a tract of land or for an appraisal of the land for investments purposes or eminent domain, purchasing rights of way, I can provide a good working inventory of the timber resources on a tract of land and an estimate of market value.   This Timber Cruise is the first step in any forest managment plan, valuation or timber sale.

A timber volume report will be generated which includes the species, sizes and board foot volumes within those size classes.  Also included will be a report on the timber quality and feasibility of harvest, both important aspects of value above and beyond the timber volumes.

The simplest of reports is this tally I did for a client in Pennsylvania who had a small woodlot that needed a harvest.  By making a tally available to a potential buyer, I am able to present to that buyer what measure of board feet of what species is marked for sale.  I leave it up to the buyer to decide for himself what the quality level of the boards will be.
